Actually surprised that Micro.blog doesn’t have a “Birds” category. Mastodon’s birds and birding community has been a revelation. I’d love to see that over here.
My commute is amazing. It’s 44 steps long, takes me through a small garden, and during today’s commute I counted 9 species of birds. And my dog goes to work with me everyday. Sure beats the 45 minutes it used to take getting across Lake Washington on the 520, or the 30 minutes from Durham through RTP.
Prothonotary warbler from today’s birding session.
Weird. I just didn’t feel right using my old TLD root for my personal blog. It’s like that identity is locked in 2006 and I don’t want to even step into that headspace. Ugh.
Ok, I’m moving this to blog.joeweiss.com, mostly because that’s a domain I have had since 1999 and I haven’t been doing anything with it since the last blog went to bed in 2006.
Back on micro.blog. Let’s see if blogging sticks again …
I miss Milford.✈️📷
